Friends of Peace and Hope Foundation is a not–for profit based organization duly registered with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, registration number 231881.
The organization was founded in 2008 as an urgent response to systems, conditions and structures that perpetuate poverty, ignorance and sisease among vulnerable people in Kisoro.
We are proactively engaged in the plight of children (orphans and vulnerable children), the youth and grandmothers (Africa's unsung heroes) in particular and people who are affected and infected by HIV/AIDS in general.
Our agenda for these target groups includes but are not limited to:
* Child education aimed at promoting OVC education Particularly child school enrollment for girls, retention and completion.
* Care and support involves the provision of care packages for disadvantaged people.
* Psychosocial support addressing the emotional concerns of children and grandmothers.
* HIV/AIDS control which covers both prevention and control efforts.
* Micro-credit aiming to ensure economic empowerment of grandmothers.
* Games and sports aiming to identify and develop childrens' talents as to support their psychosocial well-being.
* Skills training geared toward promoting self-reliance and increasing OVC and youth household incomes.

Our organization is firmly committed to provide for the physical, mental, spiritual and social welfare to better the life of Ugandans through charitable and humanitarian professional and technical services. Our organization is focused on education, agriculture, human rights, woman empowerment, disaster management , health education/training, care and support services for HIV/AIDS patients, water & sanitation provision, orphan care, short-term food provision, Christian spiritual and social welfare development and environmental bio-diversity.

Location:
Our registered Head Offices are found in Kisoro Municipality, Uganda, East Africa. Kisoro lies 540 kilometers from Kampala to Kisoro .
Friends of Peace and Hope Foundation has a 24 hour affordable road transport and a cool environment.
